The chapter
runs a 14 week CPP program every January to
April on Wednesday evenings from 5-8 pm,
held at Fifth Avenue Place, 237-4th
Ave S.W. The minimum number of students
required to participate is 10. Since 2004,
dozens of attendees have benefited from an
in-depth review of the material.
Study guides and presentation material is
based on the ‘Protection of Asset’s Manuals’,
Volumes I-IV, the ‘POA Study Guide’ and ‘A
Security Professional’s Practical Guide to
the Law’ by David Ray. Sessions are a
combination of class discussion, lecture,
power point presentation and student
provided questions.
Session instructors are Glen Kitteringham,
M.Sc., CPP and Sean Bolli, CPP. Glen
Kitteringham has worked in the security
industry since 1990, obtaining his CPP in
2002. He has been involved in the chapter
run CPP program since 2004. Sean Bolli
obtained his CPP in 2007 and has been
involved in the program first as a student
then co-instructor since 2006.
Students range from a wide variety of
private security and public sector
organizations including oil and gas,
property management, gaming, health,
manufacturing, law enforcement, intelligence
agencies, engineering and consulting
organizations to name just a few.
Students do not need to be members of the
ASIS International nor of the chapter to
participate.
Cost per student in 2008 was $400.00 which
included all books and study material. This
cost is subject to change. Tuition is non-refundable
but is transferable.
Those interested in participating are
encouraged to review the CPP webpage using
