Dan is the Director of Security for Axia NetMedia.  He balances a high-level understanding of IT and security with a solid grasp of the minutiae associated with technical infrastructure, applications and security controls.  His unique perspective and understanding of issues has led to him being one of the driving forces behind the Tri-Lateral Security Conference, is often asked to present to government and industry, and is consulted on a regular basis by industry analysts.

Dan serves on the Board of Directors for the Security Professionals Information Exchange and the organizational board of the Tri-Lateral Security Conference.  He is also the founder and past President of the Western Canadian Chapter of the High Tech Crimes Investigation Association, and is on the management board for the University of Calgary’s Centre for Information Security and Cryptography.
