Don Muldoon retired from the Calgary Police Service with over 25
years of Service in 2006. During his career, he worked in
several areas including Districts 1 and 4, Serious Habitual
Offenders Program and the Diversity Resources Unit as the
Aboriginal Liaison Officer.
Don’s background in martial arts started over 20 years ago in
Sil-Lum-Hung Kung-fu. This lead to fifteen years as a Subject
Control Tactics Instructor with the Calgary Police Service. As
an instructor Don received training in several areas including
Pressure Point Control Tactics where he received certification
as an Open Hands, Baton and Knife Defence instructor. He also
taught Officer Safety Skills and was a member of the Crowd
Control Unit for 8 years.
Don is currently an Outreach Recruiter with the Calgary Police
Service and teaches Fitness and Defensive Tactics at Bow Valley
College in the Justice Program. He also is employed with Safe
and Sound Safety Training and Consulting were he instructors
Personal Safety skills to the public and Officer Safety, Control
Tactics and Handcuffing Techniques to Security Personnel.
