Has been with Canada Safeway for the past 17 years and the last 13 in Calgary as Director of Loss Prevention responsible for the Canadian Division where he heads up the internal and external security and loss prevention program. From 1981 to 1991 he was the Executive Vice President and co-founder of Inner-Tec Security Services head quartered in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Prior to that he spent 7 years in law enforcement as a Police Constable with the Winnipeg Police Service. For the past 10 years he has served on the Board of Directors for the Calgary Crime Stoppers Association and is their current Past President as well as Chair of the Alberta Crime Stoppers Association and Vice Chair of the Canadian Crime Stoppers Association. |

Has been with Canada Safeway for the past 7 years and the past 3 in Calgary as the Chief Loss Prevention Investigator for the Canadian Division where he oversees a team of 11 Internal Investigators across the country. From 1976 to 2001 Don was a police officer with the Winnipeg Police Service and retired from there achieving the rank of Sergeant. Throughout his law enforcement career Don worked in a number of specialized areas including Major Crimes, Youth, Traffic, Unit Co-Ordinator of the Emergency Response Unit and developed the Community Based Police Unit at the Winnipeg International Airport. For the past two years Don has served as Committee Chair for the Community of Airdrie's Crime Stoppers program. |
